The Feature Film Project “MAGDALENA 27th” Enters Production: Filming Begins Through Clearly Defined Phases

The feature film project “MAGDALENA 27.” has officially entered production through an initial phase of early shooting, while the main production period is planned following the completion of the financial structure through international and national funding sources.

The project is currently in active production and is being implemented through clearly structured and professionally planned stages. The first production phase has already commenced, involving a focused shoot of selected scenes over several shooting days, with a minimal professional film crew engaged.

The scene that has been completed is taken from the finalized screenplay and represents an integral part of the film’s original structure.

The Beginning of the Production Process

In order to formally and professionally document the start of production, all key elements have been secured:

  • A shooting script has been prepared, i.e., a clearly marked scene from the screenplay (“scene to be shot”);

  • A call sheet / shooting plan has been created, specifying the exact date, location, and crew members;

  • A photograph or screenshot from the set has been taken for documentation purposes (not necessarily intended for public release).

Main Shooting Period Expected After Financial Closure

The central production period, consisting of approximately 40 shooting days across multiple locations, is planned upon securing the remaining financial resources. The key sources of financing are foreseen through the funding calls of FCCG and Creative Europe MEDIA.

Combined Financing Strategy

The project’s financing strategy relies on a combination of international and national support. The contribution of UNIQA FFSP would enable the continuation of the current initial production phases and maintain production continuity, while additional funding is planned through the upcoming calls of FCCG and the Creative Europe MEDIA programme.

This phased approach ensures a realistic, transparent, and professionally managed production process. In this way, the project continues to develop creatively while strategically completing its financial structure, thereby laying stable foundations for the realization of the full feature film.
